Pink Light

George’s “Pink Sky and Rainbow”

For me there is something so magical about pink light that evokes a feeling of being comforted or transported to another place. George loved the pink light of a sunrise on mountains or sunset clouds.

A recent sunset produced a sky of fluffy pink clouds. As they floated by I thought of George’s love of pink light, as well as one of my favorite children’s books, “Grandfather Twilight”, by Barbara Berger”. I love to imagine Grandfather Twilight as “gently, he gives the pearl to the silence above the sea.”
